Senior Administrative Officer (Part-time)

We are seeking a dynamic part-time Senior Administrative Officer to join our innovative psychology practice in Brisbane’s inner-northside. This role requires maturity, strong customer service and administrative skills, and suitable attributes to support the Practice Manager with the efficient running and development of the practice.


The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  1. Supporting the Practice Manager and reception staff with the daily operations of the practice, including (but not limited to) managing referrals, appointments, client services, accounts, contracts, compliance and asset protection.
  2. Providing senior administrative support to the Practice Manager and psychologists.
  3. Complying with ethical, legal and professional practice policies and procedures.
  4. Co-ordinating, delegating and monitoring the work of reception staff.
  5. Maintaining and contributing to quality assurance systems and procedures.
  6. Establishing and developing stakeholder relationships and referral sources.
  1. Strong employment experience in customer service and administrative roles, preferably in a medical, allied health or similar setting.
  2. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Adobe (PDF).
  3. Experience or familiarity with Dropbox and Outlook email.
  4. Experience with invoicing, accounts and Eftpos (or ability to learn quickly).
  5. Demonstrated ability to learn new software programs/applications (computer-savvy).

Essential Attributes:  

To suit the role, you will need to have a good work ethic and be ethical, adaptable, innovative, co-operative, empathic, reliable, responsible and quick to learn.

Work Hours:  

You will need to be available to work an average of 4 hours per day (e.g. 10.30am-2.30pm), Monday to Friday. Flexibility to work additional hours on occasion is highly desirable.
